Das Einstein Forum veranstaltet in Kooperation mit der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW) vom 20. bis 22. Januar 2005 in Berlin die internationale Konferenz „Einstein fort he 21st Century“.

Führende Einstein-Forscher aus Europa, den USA und Israel diskutieren den Einfluss Albert Einsteins auf Wissenschaft, Politik, Kunst und Kultur. Im Zentrum der Tagung steht neben dem Physiker der Mensch Einstein, der als moralische Instanz seiner Zeit galt und somit zum exemplarischen Vorbild eines gesell- schaftlich engagierten Wissenschaftlers wurde.

Darüber hinaus thematisiert die Tagung den umfassenden Einfluss Einsteins auf die Kultur der Moderne, die Kunst und die Philosophie. Sie weist auf alle Aspekte, unter denen Einstein heute und in Zukunft Aufmerksamkeit verdient, hin und auf die während des Einsteinjahres geplanten weiteren Aktivitäten voraus.
