Fachverband Aussenwerbung e.V. (FAW)

 

The Fachverband Außenwerbung e.V. (FAW) represents the interests of approximately 40 groups of companies in the outdoor advertising industry. The association's members include both large national companies as well as companies which operate at a regional or local level. The FAW sees itself as a marketing organization and performs a number of functions: advising and supporting its members on economic, technical and legal questions, the economic and technical development of advertising carriers, the expansion of the industry's market position, media research, sponsoring as well as press and public relations work. The FAW is helping to spread Einstein's words throughout Germany by making more than 30,000 large billboards and city light posters available during Einstein Year.

 

 

 


Federal Cultural Foundation

 

The Federal Cultural Foundation was established in March 2002. It promotes contemporary culture in an international context. Within the framework of the funding competence of the Federal Government, it develops thematic programmes of its own on the one hand and supports projects on application on the other. The Federal Cultural Foundation supports projects which deal with the cultural significance of Einstein's life's work. During Einstein Year it is giving considerable support to the exhibitions "Albert Einstein – Engineer of the Universe" in Berlin and "A Tower for Albert Einstein" in Potsdam.

 

 

 

 

 


Federal Government Commissioner for Cultural Affairs and the Media

 

The Federal Government Commissioner for Cultural Affairs and the Media is responsible for the cultural and media policy of the Federal Government. Her tasks include the promotion of cultural institutions and projects of supraregional, national importance. By funding projects during Einstein Year, she supports a public culture of science.

 

The Federal Fund for Culture in the Capital which is financed by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media was established in 1999 by the Federal Government and Berlin for the purpose of supporting outstanding individual projects and events that are nationally and internationally important. During Einstein Year, the Federal Fund for Culture in the Capital will support the Einstein Spaces project, for which ten outstanding modern artists will realize works at ten different places in Berlin and Potsdam which were important to Albert Einstein.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Hebrew University of Jerusalem

 

Albert Einstein was one of the founders of the Hebrew University. His close relations with this institution found their permanent expression in his decision to bequeath it his entire written estate. As an intellectual and scientific centre of Israel and the city of Jerusalem, the Hebrew University is still committed to the vision of its founding fathers: Linking innovative scientific research with the ideas of tolerance, pluralism and intellectual freedom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Heinz Nixdorf Foundation

 

The Heinz Nixdorf Foundation originated from the estate of entrepreneur Heinz Nixdorf. The Foundation supports initial and continuing vocational training, in particular in the area of modern technology, science in research and teaching including young scientists, in particular in the area of information technology, education in general, education for democracy, including in particular social market economy, and public health. The Heinz Nixdorf foundation is committed within the framework of the exhibition "Albert Einstein – Engineer of the Universe".

 

 

 

 

 

 


Land Brandenburg

 

In Einstein Year 2005, Brandenburg presents modern research for young and old audiences – partly at original workplaces of the famous physicist. The Ministry of Science, Research and Cultural Affairs supports the different events. The Summer of Science in Potsdam and the exhibition at the Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preußischen Geschichte "A Tower for Albert Einstein" will be highlights. Furthermore, the official opening of the Einstein House in Caputh is on the agenda.

 

 

 

 

 


Robert Bosch Stiftung

 

The Robert Bosch Foundation is one of the largest private foundations in Germany. It encourages young people to take an interest in the natural sciences and technology and promotes public understanding both of and for science in general. Access to the latest findings in science and technology is to be made easier, particularly for young people. On the occasion of Einstein Year 2005, the Foundation is supporting the educational programme of the Berlin exhibition entitled "Albert Einstein – Engineer of the Universe".

Stiftung Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin is a public law foundation with legal capacity located in Berlin. The foundation administers and distributes the funds available to it for non-profit purposes. Cafe Einstein

 

The parent company of Café Einstein in Berlin's Kurfürstenstraße is the oldest Vienna coffee house in the city and stands in a long artistic tradition of coffee house culture in Berlin. Café Einstein is a European coffee house. The avant-garde of the 1920s is still present in today's event programme and characterizes the culture of the house. It's all in the name: Café Einstein is a place for reading, discussing and enjoying coffee. TAXi-AD combines roof advertising with efficient technology and effective logistics. This makes it possible to make well-directed use of the medium in terms of time and place. TAXi-AD's advertising carriers are light-weight, TÜV certified, patented and, in the case of roof advertising carriers, even crash-tested plastic structures which allow the advertising to be changed with very little effort. TAXi-AD will make up to 380 carriers available during Einstein Year. These will drive through the streets of Berlin bearing Einstein's words: "Wenn Du ein glückliches Leben führen willst, verbinde es mit einem Ziel …"  ("If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal …")  

 

 

 


Trans-Marketing GmbH

 

Trans-Marketing GmbH is a young, innovative company which designs up-to-the-minute and short-term advertising campaigns using lorries. The company has received various innovation prizes and awards for its RollAd (Rolling Advertising) medium. Thanks to a patented frame system, topical advertising can be fixed onto the rear and sides of a lorry in just 30 minutes.

The company is sponsoring a number of lorries during Einstein Year 2005. These will travel along Germany's motorways for 12 weeks bearing a quotation from Albert Einstein and stirring up interest.
